So many fun and meaningful events are happening in Milan this holiday season. We’d love to share our home at Angel Welcome Bed and Breakfast with you when you’re in town to take part!
A great way to start the holiday season is with the annual Christmas Open House at Naturally Country. Taking place November 13 – 15 from 10am – 6pm, the store will be decorated to give you a boost and get you ready for Christmas decorating of your own abode! Each day of the Christmas Open House will have free refreshments and door prizes. Naturally Country features unique home décor, wall prints, lamps, gift items, clocks, garden statuary, candles, furniture, and beautiful custom floral designs for both inside and outside.
Also this weekend is The Holly Run, a 5K race and Fun Run, on Saturday, November 14. Make sure to register so you can pick up your race packet on Friday. The race will be followed by a party at the Milan Town Hall, to include live music, beer and wine, food, a 50/50 and raffles, and fun for the kiddos, too! This wonderful event benefits the The Life Is Good No Matter What Foundation, the mission of which is to “give adults with advanced cancer a break and escape from their battle and diagnosis through a cherished experience.” What an excellent cause to run for!
If racing is not for you, shoppers will have a ball going through the “Home for the Holidays” Craft & Home Show at Ottawa County Riverview Healthcare Campus just about 45 minutes away in Bell Harbor. The show runs from 9 am-3 pm with more than 50 vendors, lunch with Santa Claus, story time and door prizes every 30 minutes!
Be a kid again this Christmas! The Milan Museum is putting on a fun and festive Gingerbread Workshop on December 5th. Cost is $15 per person, which includes 1 Gingerbread House Kit, 1 Holiday Ornament, 1 Gingerbread Magnetic Picture Frame and Unlimited Hot Cocoa. You must register by Wednesday, December 2, 2015 by calling 419-499-2968.
You’ll want to make reservations as soon as possible for the 2015 Christmas Dinner In the Diner – a lovely sit down dinner in a authentic railroad dining car, recalling the more glamorous days of the 1940s and 50s. White linens, jacketed waitstaff and holiday decor will make this a delightful event you’ll want to repeat year after year. The dinner will be held December 12, 2015, located at 253 Southwest Street in Bellevue. To make reservations, call 419-483-6235 or 419-677-9088.
