Northern Ohio Festivals and Fairs in August 2014

The MidWest is known for our love of gathering the celebrate the people an industry that make our states great. August is a great time of year to enjoy all of the festivals and fairs in the various cities and counties of Northern Ohio. We welcome you to make Angel Welcome Bed & Breakfast your home base for visiting all the wonderful fun and festivals!

August 15 – 17, 2014 is the 38th Annual Grecian Festival at the Canton Civic Center, presented by Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Greek Cuisine, pastries, culture and history. Free admission, parking and entertainment.

The Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival is an annual celebration of the popular German sausage.  This year’s festival features many great events and free live shows. Enjoy the bratwurst eating contest, pizza eating contest, baby contest and beauty pageant, as well as performances by exciting entertainers like Aaron Tippin and Red
Wanting Blue, and even more! August 15-17, 2014 at 330 N Sandusky Ave in
Bucyrus.

The same weekend,  Little Italy Feast of the Assumption, put on by Holy Rosary Catholic Church  in Cleveland. The feast is four days of food, fun and faith. It begins Thursday August 15, with a 10 a.m. mass at Holy Rosary Church, 12021 Mayfield Road, followed by a street procession bearing a statue of the Virgin Mary. The festival runs through Sunday August 18.

Olmsted Community Days takes place Aug 14 – 17, 2014, celebrating 200 years of the Olmsted Communities with special events. Historical encampment on Saturday Parade Thursday, Family/Kids Day Friday, Arts/Craft booths on Fri/Sat/Sun – Free Live Band performances.

August 14-17, 2014 is the Lexington Blueberry Festival. Many wonderful events, including races, pageants, live music, skate competition, highland games, a car and bike show, and many other events, including all things Blueberry!

August 15-16, is the Annual Bluegrass Festival, presented by the Ashtabula County Antique Engine Club. Continuous Bluegrass Music featuring several bands. Show goes on rain or shine under big top tent. Food will be available till 9 pm both days with a special Dinner Bell Supper on Sat. Hours: Friday 6 pm till midnight and Saturday noon till midnight.
