After the winter we’ve had, we are pining for beautiful green grass, trees and flowers in full bloom and no windy snow squalls blowing up the backs of our coats! To celebrate, we’ve got three lovely, Spring-y events to share – enjoy!
First on our list is one of the premier events in our area – the Catawba Island Boat Show! Taking place April 28-30, 2023, the Boat Show heralds the coming of Summer, in the marina basin at the Catawba Island Club, located on the northwest tip of the Catawba Island peninsula in Port Clinton, Ohio. Parking is free, as are the shuttles that will bring you from the lots to the show. You’ll be treated to live music, seminars and interviews, beautiful boats on display, delicious dining from food trucks, a chance to meet members of the US Coast Guard, and more! One of the advantages of this show is that all the boats displayed in-water can be demonstrated and perform sea trials to qualified. Tickets will be available at the gate, but if you’d like to pre-purchase, check the website, as the will be available soon.
From boats to…MYSTERY! For two weekends – April 28-30 and May 5-7, Harlequins Coach House Theatre in Sandusky presents Scotland Road – described as “In the last decade of the twentieth century, a beautiful young woman in nineteenth century clothing is found floating on an iceberg in the middle of the North Atlantic. When rescued, she says only one word: Titanic. The woman, Winifred is taken to an isolated spot on the coast of Maine where an expert on the sinking of the liner, a mysterious man named John, has arranged to interogate her for six days. His goal is to crack her story, get her to confess she’s a fake and reveal her true identity. His one clue: Her enigmatic references to an unknown place called “Scotland Road.” Shows take place Friday & Saturday at 7:00pm and Sunday at 2pm. Tickets are $15.
Also in Sandusky – a true Spring is Spring event! The Hello Spring Craft & Vendor Show at the Sandusky Mall. The show will feature over 90 booths will a wide array of items, from decor, bat and body care, pet products, hand-made crafts, and on! The show takes place May 6, from 10am-6pm, and entry is free.
