The Oak Ridge Boys are one of the most enduring acts in country and gospel music. They started in the 0940s as “The Oak Ridge Quartet”, a gospel group, then changed the namein the 1960s to its currrent iteration, and in the 1970s, started focusing on the Country music genre.
Over the years, the members of the group have changed, and it now consists of lead singer Duane Allen, bass Richard Sterban, tenor Joe Bonsall and the abundently bearded baritone William Lee Golden. Their sound is completely unique and recognizable, from hits such as Elvira, American Made and Thank God for Kids.
More recently, the group has released gospel, patriotic, Christmas and bluegrass albums, as well as collaborations with such varied musicians as Shooter Jennings, Ben Isaacs, Third Day and Home Free. Their live show is considered one of the best, and now is your chance to see it!
The show is at the Sandusky State Theatre on Friday April 5, 2019 at 8:00pm, with a pre-show happy hour from 6:30-7:30. Tickets are $40-$80 and can be obtained via SeatAdvisor.
