The Milan Museum
The Milan Museum open up the history books so you can see it up close and personal. You will not regret your time spend perusing the 6 galleries that include, but are not limited to, the Mildred Smith Coulton Doll collection – more than 350 beautiful historical dolls, the Sayles Gallery, which explores Milan’s unique history, and the wonderful Lockwood Smith & Co. General Store, where you can see how an old-time mercantile operated, buy souvenirs, and even sit a spell and play checkers!

Edison Park
You might be thinking – are you really recommending a local park as a great place to visit? The answer is yes! Edison Park is a lovely place to visit any time of the year. In winter, sledding is a must, with gentle slopes that are a joy rather than a terror, and in summer, the playground is ready for your childhood memories to take shape. Pickleball courts and the new half-mile-long Edison Park hiking trail, which meanders through meadows and woods and is great for walking or biking are the latest features.

Big Ship Salvage
Get ready for a shopping experience like none other! Big Ship Salvage is only open to the public on Summer Saturdays from 9am-1pm (June 15 – August 24), but what an incredible time it will be! They supply nautical accoutrements to movie sets, TV shows and famous interior decorators, and all of those amazing finds can be yours, as well! Thomas Edison Birthplace Museum
A visit to Milan could never be complete without a stop at the Thomas Edison birthplace. Edison is Milan’s most famous son, and we love to talk about him! The museum is just a few convenient steps from Angel Welcome Bed & Breakfast, as well! The museum contains a collection of rare early inventions, documents, and family mementos, and offers a walking tour of Milan architecture.

Milan Town Square
The Milan Town Square is reminicent of a bygone time. Surrounded by historic buildings, this beautiful park is beloved by residents and vistors alike. Large trees shade places to sit and the pretty gazebo. In summer, the square is used for car shows, the antique fair, and of course, the amazing Melon Festival! Winter is an idyllic scene, and the spot to be for our annual Chistmas Tree Lighting. It’s also just a nice place to take a stroll, do some people watching, or a place to rest between dining and shopping forays at the surrounding businesses.
